Great show as always. I was very pleased to hear positive comments for a Seventh Doctor story, especially after reading the recent DWM interview with Sylvester McCoy. The guy takes a lot of abuse from fans, and it's nice that there wasn't any here. I'm happy to take the credit for nudging you into discussing a Big Finish audio play instead of the TV movie. :) As someone who's only recently started listening to their stories, I look forward to hearing your comments. But Tom, you sounded absolutely defeated when the subject came up, so I can only assume you're not looking forward to it yourself. The 'other things' you've discussed lately haven't been of much interest to me, although I appreciate you taking the time to watch and discuss those shows so I don't have to. The past season of Doctor Who really revitalized my interest in the classic show, so I've been watching as much of it as I can afford to pick up on dvd. I even tried one of the BBC audiobooks of a lost story, The Enemy of the World. I strongly recommend trying one; the Troughton era has been decimated by the old erasure policy, but the quality of the writing (and the descriptive narration) really do a fine job of telling the story. Power of the Daleks is next on my list. (And the benefit of absorbing all that classic Who is that I have no time to get sucked into any new TV shows this fall. :) You didn't say whether two-part stories are off limits for the Ninth Doctor segment, so my vote is conditional: I'd prefer Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, but if it's a single-part story or nothing, then I'm voting for Father's Day. I predict you'll be discussing Dalek, though.
